At the end of last week and over the weekend, we got to enjoy a very special celebration of my Nana and Dado's 60th wedding anniversary. The extended family went on a cruise together that was so fun and relaxing. Cadence got to enjoy a lot of firsts during this journey - first plane ride, first visit to Florida, first time on a boat, and first trip out of the country (we stopped in Cozumel, Mexico) - she did really well with all the new scenery and different schedules. I think she got a little spoiled with all the attention and I know I got spoiled by all the good food and time with Cadie, Matt, and my wonderful family. We took a lot of great pictures, but these are some of my favorites.

Two firsts...
I've really enjoyed having today off work; I'm tired and I didn't get everything done that I wanted to get done (that's never going to happen again in my life, is it?), but I had good times with Cadence. Today we also got to see my friend Laurie and her boys. Cadence seemed to enjoy all their cool toys.
Yesterday my friend Lydia and her son Jacob came to visit. We're calling this Cadence's first playdate, and our visit with the boys today her second. She's been to visit Laurie and the boys before, but I think she was only 7 weeks old and didn't do much playing. And, even now, playing is laying on the floor next to her buddy, like this.
Then, tonight she ate rice cereal. Just a tad. She liked the spoon. She seemed to want to hold it and gum it. Most of the cereal ended up on her chin and her pants, but I think there was some swallowing too.
We're going on a cruise this week to celebrate my Nana and Dado's 60th wedding anniversary, so Cadie's going to have a lot more firsts. First airplane ride, first visit to Florida, first time on a boat, first time visiting another country!

Cadie is 4 months old
It's today if you go by dates, not weeks. I think she likes being 4 months old.
For one thing, she is now an expert smiler. See? And she's rolling over almost anytime we lay her on the floor on her back. She doesn't seem to remember how to go from her tummy to her back, although when she first rolled over that was how she was doing it. But she's really good at the back to tummy business.
On Wednesday night, she slept through the night. Technically, she's done this before, because the official definition of sleeping through the night is 6 hours in a row. Anyway, Wednesday, it was 10:00 to 5:30, which is more my speed. She hasn't done it since...but it gives us hope!
I'd have to say she enjoyed the holiday season too. She got to visit with lots of family and friends and is quite the social butterfly. I was so happy to get a picture of this smile while she was talking with her GrandNana and GrandDado.
