Look what I woke up to...

About an inch of snow, I'd judge by what's sitting on our porches. Doesn't the snow look pretty on those berries? They grow on a little tree right outside our bathroom window. We haven't been paying much attention to the weather lately since I'm not going anywhere and Matt's taking care of me and the house so this winter wonderland was a lovely surprise!

Look! You could move to Hickory! I saw this in the Charlotte Observer....what do you think? (Of course, I'm sort of joking, because how would I get to go see waterfalls if you moved away from GA?)

Hickory library director to retire from post
Cora "Corki" Jones, the director of the Hickory public library system since 2000, announced her retirement Friday. Her last day will be June 30.Jones, 54, has worked for the Hickory library since 1988. Before that, she worked for the library system in her native Caldwell County and for Davidson County Community College. Jones said she may start her own business, and she's talking to Appalachian State University and UNC Greensboro about teaching courses in library science. -- greg lacour
