Saturday we decided to do what we assume will be our last outing as a family of three. Remember back at the beginning of the summer when we had grand plans to go hiking and waterfall-ing? That didn't really happen with the uncertainty about the move. We did go on a few river outings to play in the water and to the lake on campus a couple times for events. So Saturday we went to Dry Falls, near Highlands NC.
This was our last summer hurrah, as Matt worked all day on Sunday in the dorm.
Excitement.
It's called Dry Falls because the trail goes underneath the falls. Theoretically, you stay dry.
Can you see Matt and Cadie through the water droplets? They're underneath the falls.
Then she found a puddle...
And we could barely get her to leave.

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful family outing. Makes me want to go camping to enjoy God's great outdoors. We're looking at Vogel State Park in September -- ready for some cooler weather.

I love her little outfit! Did you make it?
ha! No, Anna, I didn't make it - it was a hand-me-down that is just really, really cute!
Love these pictures! What beautiful waterfalls! Would love to see them someday. Glad you all had a fun day out together. Our little lady is adorable.
