Tonight, I used two reference books to help a student. Then I looked up books on the catalog to help a student! Woohoo! I am useful!

When one helps another there is a certain feeling of satisfaction. May this be of encouragement to you in your quest for a more meaningful work experience.
It appears that you have found a calling. Helping students is great. Also perseverence with knitting will some day pay off.
